Floor Stand Operators

TROY VALVE offers floor stands for NRS applications in both non-indicating and indicating models. The TROY VALVE floor stand is of high strength cast iron and may be provided with valve extension stems manufactured to your specifications.

The indicating floor stand model is designed to show open/close position of a valve as needed. Position is shown utilizing a bronze pointer on the threaded internal stem. It may be used with most non-rising type valves.

Offset floor stand operators are available in cast ductile iron that allows the valve extension stem to be offset from the face of the wall up to 26”.

Operation And Maintenance:

OPERATIONS: To open rotate the hand wheel in the direction of the arrow. To close rotate the hand wheel in the opposite direction of the arrow. Indication of valve position is demonstrated by a pointer in the slot on the front of the floor stand body.

INSTALLATION: Assemble indicator pointer and nut to the threaded internal operating stem. Slide the operating stem up through the body of the floor stand and through the bushing at the top. Attach the hand wheel to the operating stem and attach the sleeve coupling to the operating stem and then to the valve extension stem. Secure floor stand assembly to the floor.

Maintenance: Floor Stand should be inspected annually to confirm integrity of coating. Internal stem should be lubricated using a food quality grease to ensure free movement of the pointer/nut assembly along the threaded operating stem.

Bevel Gear Operator – Floor Stand

TROY VALVE offers floor stand pedestals adapted for mounting a Bevel Gear operator. Mounting plate’s specific to the Bevel Gear Operator model and manufacturer and an internal stem specific to the application are provided to make a complete operational unit for operating many valves where a bevel gear operator is required. Custom valve extension stems and valve stem extension guides may be provided by TROY VALVE to make a complete valve operator assembly.

The arrangement is available for the BEVEL GEAR OPERATORS of most manufacturers. When inquiring please be prepared to provide torque requirements, turns to open and operating ratios required for valve operation.
